Events that Matter

Keep up with what is happening in our Family. We will try to include any major events that occurred over the past quarter. For this to work, it is pertinent that as events happen to you, you inform the Messengers.

  • Births and Adoptions

- Nicholas Elliott was born to Sonya (and Keith) Cromer on November 20th, 1998.

- Sabrina Cromer gave birth towards the end of November 1998

* Jason Potts and wife had a newborn family addition, on February 18th, 1999.

  • Deaths

*Aunt Ruth passed away on February 18th, 1999. God bless.

- Bill Jr. (Buddies son in Queens NY) passed on Feb 25th

  • Weddings

- The Messenger’s unaware of any newlyweds this quarter.

  • Graduations

- Sonya Cromer received her Master’s in Public Administration from Clark Atlanta University last May. Sorry we missed you last time Sonya.

  • Professional or Personal Promotions

- Yolanda Cromer is now the acting Assistant Principal at Avondale High School in Dekalb County, GA.

- Syrena Williams earned a promotion w/a notable pay raise from her employer’s at Triangle Laboratories this past winter.

Up-Coming

The Cromer-Parker Family Reunion 1999.

As always, it is the weekend that includes the first Sunday in August. This year it will go from July 30th to the 1st of August 1999. Hope to see you there.

* I would be remised if I did not point out the beauty in having a new treasure added to our family the exact same day that we lost one of our older treasures to the heavens.

Black History Month Facts

Many people have indicated that they were up on our history. So I thought would put you to the test. We obviously couldn’t capture our history in such a short space so I decided to give you a few questions from several categories. They include Science, Sports, First, History, and Inventions.

SCIENCE

SPORTS

1. In 1957 ____ became the first African American to lead professional football in rushing. (Jim Brown)

HISTORY
